Architecture Guidelines

Ideally we should have a building

  • asthetic and modern
  • with lots of space to cover many aspects of FSF
  • open building interiors to make it easy to move
  • easily accessible from outside from all directions
  • light and easy on the eye colour schemes
  • modular and easily extensible with minimum of architecture work
  • multiple floors with easy teleport between section and well signed
  • no stairs or floor ramps to maximise floor space
  • minimise the use of prims
  • fits easily on multiples of 4x4 partitoned land for multimedia use
  • parts of the building such as meeting and lecture areas can be floating
  • standardised teleport points


Building aspects cover

  • area to introduce FSF, its sisters, and key members
  • area to cover GPL and its key usage
  • areas to cover campaigns and wars
  • meeting areas
  • media and educational areas aligned on land sub-partitions
  • areas for key product display
  • area for a library
  • official store, contents should be free and have full perms owned by FSF group
  • public store for people to give away packaged products on anything in SL under GPL


Landscaping cover

  • well signed and asthetic signs and posts
  • areas for people to meet
  • easy access from associated group areas such as 4freedom


Every aspect and module of the building should be packaged, all items must be free and have full permissions and ownership assigned to the FSF group, these cover

  • texture
  • sounds
  • scripts
  • building blocks and sculpties
  • plans and instructions


FSF Building

The following building has been built, it consists of three floors, we can always add more floors or units to increase its size.
